ViaVoice for Mac OS X is a voice input program designed for use by individuals with upper extremity and vision disabilities. This software enables continuous speech voice dictation for all aspects of Apple's Mac OS X operating system, including the Command Center and Voice Center, using the Aqua OS X look and feel. Users can dictate, correct, edit, and format text with their natural voice in the IBM ViaVoice speech-enabled word processor, SpeakPad. They can also dictate directly into text-fields of Mac applications, with correction and editing in SpeakPad. Customized voice commands can be created in Mac applications, and support is available for specialized vocabularies such as legal and medical. The software also provides voice command and control of the Internet. It comes with a noise-cancelling USB headset microphone. COMPATIBILITY: For use on Macintosh computers.
