ZoomContacts is a large print contacts database program designed for use by individuals who have low vision. The program enables an Apple iPad to display contacts in large print for people who have difficulty seeing. ZoomContacts uses the iPad’s internal contact database to store and manage information but presents the data using multiple font size and color combination choices. The user can use the “+” button to add contacts to the database. The user also can search for contacts by typing directly into the search field or by clicking one of the highlighted letters in the Alphabet Selector on the screen, and scroll through the list of contacts by swiping up or down on the list of names. The Font Selector allows the user to choose from four different font sizes while the Color Selector switches between four different color combinations. The user can also see more details on a specific contact in their list (such as phone numbers, mailing address, or email address) by tapping on the contact or company name. From this page, the user can launch the iPad’s built-in mail client to create a new message addressed to the selected email address by tapping on an email, or he or she can launch the map client with the location of the contact’s address pinpointed by clicking on an address field. COMPATIBILITY: For use with the Apple iPad. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Apple iOS 4.2 or later.
