BumbleBee Pedestrian Buttons are pedestrian signal control switches designed for use as crosswalk control switches by pedestrians with physical disabilities or low vision. These switches are large and easy to push, with high visual contrast between the button and its mount. These switches operate through magnetic actuation, and have no sensitive electronics, no mechanical parts to wear out, and no exposed parts to ice up. They are self-powered and do not depend on controller input or other devices as a source of operating power. They are constructed of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). Models differ in their mounts. Model D-001-100 has a round mount with four holes for screws; model D-002-100 has a rectangular box mount with four holes for screws; model D-003-100 has a box mount with two holes for screws; model D-004-100 has a round mount with two holes for screws; and models 453-1690 and 453-0400 have box mounts with rounded corners. OPTIONS: All models are available with a light emitting diode (LED) indicator to provide users with an acknowledgement that the button has been pressed. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): Box mounts are 4.3 x 2.65 x 2.8 inches; round mounts are 3.15 inches in diameter and 2.65 inches in depth; box mounts with rounded corners are 5 inches high x 9 inches wide with a 1.5 inch (model 453-1690) or 1 inch (model 453-0400) corner radius. Buttons on all models are 2 inches in diameter. COLOR: Mounts are black and buttons are yellow.
