The AMTI Multiaxis Force Platform, model BP400600, is a gait and balance analysis system designed for use in gait or balance assessment. The system consists of a platform with an aluminum top plate and strain gauge bridge sensing elements. The unit's 2:3 width to length ratio is useful for gait lab installations where variable stride must be accommodated. The platform uses a coordinate system with the z axis oriented downward, the y axis oriented away from the connector, and the x axis oriented to the left. The system provides six analog outputs corresponding to the three orthogonal forces and the three orthogonal moments acting on the platform's top surface in the x, y, and z axes. An amplifier (not included) is required to provide digital output for a computer. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 3.25 x 23.62 x 15.75 inches. CAPACITY: 500 pounds along the x and y axes, and 1,000 pounds along the z (vertical) axis. WEIGHT: 70 pounds.
