Survival Skills is a safety awareness and language tutorial program in a board game format designed to help individuals with cognitive disabilities learn to read or recognize important vocabulary words and images necessary to safely function in daily life. Categories include home, school, work, community, and shopping and include such topics as poison symbols, "Out of Order" signs, oven dials, first aid kits, television remote controls, "Danger signs," and others. The "Draw Cards" use full-color photographs showing signs and symbols in appropriate settings for realistic learning. The program includes the game board and all playing pieces, six Individual Progress Reports, a teacher's guide with answers to questions in the game and additional topics for discussion, and instructions. OPTIONS: Set of 20 blank Draw Cards and 10 Individual Progress Reports.
