Talking Pockets, model 032231, is a direct selection communicator designed for use by individuals with cognitive or communication disabilities. This unit consists of a pocket that holds a voice output device so that it does not slip out when the unit is turned upside down. The device has a 10 second recording time. After recording is completed, a picture is slipped into the pocket in front of the voice output device, with a dot marked on the picture to indicate the location of the playback button. The pocket will hold two 1/4-inch-square pictures. It has a Velcro-receptive strip on the back for attaching to a Velcro receptive communication board, display unit, or book, allowing the user to point to the picture to communicate a message.
