The Senior Buddy Board and the Junior Buddy Board are communication boards designed for use by children or adults with communication or speech disabilities. The front side shows a Qwerty computer-style keyboard, while the back side has 23 often-used words and phrases. The user points to letters on the front to spell out words. The Qwerty arrangement allows the user to mimic touch typing, which can be quicker for those who know how to type. Typists can use a backspace arrow to indicate they want to correct an error. The back side aids in situations when typing out all the letters is difficult. There are seven blank places on the back side that can be filled in to personalize the board with frequently-used words. The Junior and Senior boards are identical except for size. The Junior Board is intended for on-the-go use and can be carried in a pocket or purse. The Senior board can be used by persons just learning to type, or who have large fingers or limited fine motor ability. The boards are available individually or in Junior or Senior Buddy Board Systems with board, keyguard/holder, a wet-erase marker, and a training DVD. SIZES: Large (Senior) or small (Junior). DIMENSIONS: The Junior Board is 7 x 4 inches and the Senior Board is 8.5 x 5.5 inches. WEIGHT: 2.50 pounds.
