The Olympus DM-620 is a digital recorder that can be used by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This portable recorder has 4 gigabytes (GB) of flash memory built in and features between 64 and 1007 hours of recording time for Windows Media Audio (WMA) format, between 5.5 and 6 hours for PCM (WAV) format, and between 13 and 65.5 hours for MPEG-1 Audio Layer3 (MP3) format. The DM-620 can accept micro SD cards up to 32 GB. It records with three microphones - two stereo directional microphones and a center omni-directional microphone to capture lower bass ranges. Other features include push button controls, a backlit light emitting diode (LED) liquid crystal display (LCD) screen, USB 2.0 interface, index marks, scene selection playback, voice guidance and variable control voice actuator for hands-free operation, a built-in 20-millimeter (mm) round dynamic speaker, a 3.5-mm microphone jack, and a 3.5-mm headphone jack. The DM-620 also Olympus Sonority software for sound editing and file and podcast management on a computer. COMPATIBILITY: For use with IBM and compatible computers or Apple Macintosh computers with a USB port.
