Skeletal Fitness by Mirabai Holland: A Workout for Your Bones, is a video exercise program designed for use by individuals with osteoporosis. This one hour video in DVD or VHS format video presents a comprehensive bone loading program with weight bearing and weight resistance exercises to help bones become denser. The program is for the whole body, with special emphasis on the areas at risk for osteoporotic fracture: the spine, thighbone at the hip, and forearm at the wrist. Presented by Mirabai Holland, M.F.A., the workout is divided into six color-coded sections. An informational section on bones and osteoporosis is also included.
