EASYBLUE is a switch adapted Bluetooth device designed for use by individuals with upper extremity, fine motor, or severe physical disabilities. Bluetooth devices commonly used with cell phones are worn on the user’s ear and interface with the cell phone utilizing the voice recognition or dialing features of the cell phone. The devices are commonly activated with a small button located on the device, rendering them inaccessible to individuals with limited mobility. This adapted Bluetooth headset enables the user to activate the device with any connected ability switch (not included). Both the Bluetooth device and the cell phone maintain the functionality of the manufacturer’s specifications but control of the device is no longer limited to the button on the Bluetooth device.
