The Micro-Tech Sentinel and Sentinel with Voice, models 81850 and 81860, are wandering patient systems designed for use with individuals with cognitive disabilities or Alzheimer's disease or individuals at risk for falls to monitor when individuals get out of bed or rise from a wheelchair or chair. Both Sentinel units attach to a wheelchair, chair or bed using the included belt clip or Velcro adhesion patch provided, and the units connect to a Micro-Tech Sensor Pad (see separate entry). The Sentinel sounds an alarm, beeping signal or chime when a patient leaves his or her wheelchair, chair or bed; the Sentinel with Voice monitor will also give a warning message in a familiar, prerecorded voice. Both models can be connected to an alert button worn on the user's wrist and to a nurse call system. POWER: Uses 9-Volt alkaline battery (not included); a DC adapter is optional. WARRANTY: Warranted to be free of manufacturing defects for a period of one year from the date of purchase.
