---- CUSTOMIZED ADAPTATION --------- PURPOSE: To create a customized adaptation of a bowling ball ramp for a child with severe disabilities. This adaptation began with calculating how long and wide the ramp needed to be. The ramp needed to be narrow enough so the ball would not fall through but this can be adapted depending on the child’s size. The top portion sides are approximately 10 inches long, the cross pieces are 4 inches. The long portion consists of two 18 inch pieces with a straight connector in between; making sure the ball would not slide through before continuing the next step. The ramp was decorated with neon orange duct tape to cover it and stickers added by the child. The ramp can also be used for a floor-based basket ball hoop (i.e. poll basketball hoop adapted). A table can be used to assure proper angles. TITLE: Sunday’s Toys (Silly Six Pins & Ramp). WEBSITE: Adaptions 4 Kidz.
