Pull-For-Help Emergency Caller

The Pull-for-Help Emergency Caller is an emergency alert system designed for use by seniors and individuals with disabilities. The system comprises a waterproof cordless pull-for-help transmitter that can be worn around the neck or carried in a pocket and a portable base unit. This system sends a personalized, pre-recorded emergency voice message of up to 20 seconds to four different numbers. The system dials each number up to three times until the message is delivered. When the message is delivered, the unit's two-way speakerphone is automatically activated, enabling the caller to comunicate even though he/she cannot access the phone. The called party can also communicate and listen in. This system is expandable with remote switches, sirens, etc. The caller may stop the dialing process by pushing the transmitter closed and a called party can also remotely deactivate the dialer. To use the system, the Emergency Caller is plugged into a standard telephone jack, the telephone is plugged into the Emergency Caller, the emergency numbers are programmed into the system, and the voice request for help is recorded. The unit's LCD panel displays programming, test, and status information. EEPROM memory retains the voice message the voice message and telephone numbers in the event of a power failure.
