Ultrakey Keyboarding Tutor

The UltraKey Keyboarding Tutor is a typing instruction program designed for use by students with low vision or learning disabilities. This program teaches touch-typing and keyboarding using voice, three-dimensional animation, video, and virtual reality. Instruction is voice-accompanied, and display options include standard, bright, high-contrast, and space-themed. The instructional program features individual challenge levels and other personal options that adapt to age and learning style. Student typing performance is analyzed at the character level with standardized measurement and teacher-controlled instruction and customizable content. The program also includes management and reporting functions and can be run and monitored via an Internet connection for home or district-wide instruction. COMPATIBILITY: For use with IBM and compatible computers with Windows, Macintosh Classic, and Macintosh OS X. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: For Windows-based systems, Windows 98SE/NT/2000/XP/XP Pro; 64 megabytes (MB)of RAM; 60 to 180 MB of hard-disk space; 16-bit sound card; SVGA video or higher display; and SAPI text-to-speech (included). For Macintosh systems, OS 9.2, 10.2x or later operating system; and 64 MB of RAM; 60 to 180 MB of hard-disk space. Network compatibility includes Windows NT/2000/2003, Novell, Macintosh, or Citrix.
