Spell Track Workbook

The Spell Track Workbook 2 is a spelling tutorial program designed for use by children with cognitive or learning disabilities. It is a hands-on supplement to the CD program, "Spell Track" (see separate entry). This workbook is designed to consolidate phonic skills and early spelling strategies and improve visual recognition and matching and selecting. It is also intended to advance graphic knowledge and phoneme/graphic association. By circling (tracking) each letter in one continuous movement while saying the letter name, the learner uses visual and kinesthetic senses while learning the phonic components of the words. Writing out the spelling from memory, saying the letter names or mnemonic as the learner does so provides reinforcement of correct letter formation.
