The VersaCorder Quarter Speed Cassette Tape Player/Recorder is a cassette recorder designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. It records and plays back at quarter speed or regular speed, and features voice activated recording and the ability to record directly from a radio or telephone. When set to quarter speed, this unit records up to four hours of a radio show on each side of a regular 110-minute cassette tape, using the recorder's six-day/event timer to eliminate commercial breaks between segments. To operate, the user connects the recorder to the earphone jack of any radio, sets the timer, and presses the record button. Quarter-speed tape recordings can only be played back on this unit or on the Panasonic Quarter Speed Cassette Player. This recorder can also be set to record or play back regular speed cassette tapes. Features include a built-in microphone, a headphone jack, and a pull-out handle. The unit comes with a tri-plug patch cord for use with the CCRadio plus or any other radio. OPTIONS: Versacorder Phone Patch Cord to connect the recorder directly to a phone line to record telephone conversations. POWER: Uses four C batteries or the included alternating current (AC) adapter. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 2.6 x 6.5 x 10 inches. WEIGHT: 2.4 pounds. WARRANTY: 30 day satisfaction guarantee, with a one-year warranty on parts and labor.
