The Rolyan Resistive Prehension Bench, model A196-10, is a finger exerciser and a progressive resistive arm exerciser designed to increase muscle strength and endurance for individuals with limited hand and finger strength and mobility. It can be used for both single-handed and bilateral activities. The bench resembles a chess board on legs and is made of heavy-duty aluminum to hold up to constant use. Protuding vertically from the surface are 36 springs topped with four different knob styles. The springs deliver measured resistance up to 21 pounds, and the knobs allow grading of prehension throughout the range of resistance. Differing surface textures on the knobs aid in decreasing hypersensitivity. DIMENSIONS: 16 inches x 16 inches. The legs are 5.5 inches tall.
