Word-Family Fun

Word-Family Fun is a cued speech auditory-visual sign language training and program designed for use by individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing or have communication or speech disabilities. This set of 10 CD-ROMs enables children to play with 45 word families and more than 300 words. Students learn common spelling patterns and vocabulary in groups such as the "at" family, which includes "cat," hat," and "bat." This educational software teaches common spelling patterns and vocabulary. The user can choose whether words will be cued or fingerspelled. A "Help" button on each screen provides assistance for children who are learning new words. Games and activities let the user pick a word family, choose word family members, build word family words, play a lotto game, and spell words within a family.
