The HomeSaver is a home emergency monitoring system designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities, hearing disabilities, and seniors. This multi-zone remote property monitor and controller allows users to remotely monitor and control systems from any telephone, anywhere. Also serving as a freeze alarm and a high or low temperature alarm, it can interface with and monitor temperature sensors, door switches, motion detectors, heating and cooling systems, freezers and refrigerated spaces, and geenhouses and animal buildings and alert to power outages. The unit monitors up to six temperature or other standard sensors and will call up to eight telephone numbers of the user's choice when problems like power failures and loss of heating or cooling occur or temperatures rise above or fall below user-defined temperatures. With the addition of optional industry-standard sensors, the system can also alert to break-ins and flooding due to water leaks. When away, the user can Call HomeSaver at any time to hear actual temperatures, request the status of any sensor connected to the system and listen in on the building with its sensitive microphone. With Caller ID and Call Waiting (CIDCW) capable telephone equipment, the unit can display information on the CallerID readout, making it accessible to individuals with hearing disabilities or in noisy environments. Caller ID service is not required. The unit is programmable to answer after one to nine rings and has a ring-once call back feature for compatibility with answering machines and voicemail systems. Other features include
remote access to programming/setup and current status; local accessibility with an extension phone on the same line or by plugging a standard telephone into the front-panel jack if a telephone line is unavailable; response to all commands and reports current status in a clear and pleasant female voice; LED status indicators
programmable speech volume level; and, a programmable security code to prevent unauthorized access. POWER: Uses the supplied alternating current (AC) adapter and 50+ hours of back-up power is supplied by two user-replaceable NiMH double-A batteries. Five + years of back-up power for the real time clock is supplied by a user-replaceable CR2032 lithium coin cell battery.
