The Maxim Keyboard is a split compact keyboard designed for use by individuals with carpal tunnel syndrome or other repetitive motion disabilities, limited upper extremity range of motion, or other upper extremity disabilities. This keyboard physically splits in the center, allowing each section to be independently adjusted for optimal use. The sections can be adjusted laterally at 0, 8, or 14 degrees to minimize forearm tension. The keyboard also includes built-in removable palm supports. The compact size of the keyboard reduces lateral hand and wrist movement and enables a mouse or trackball to be placed closer to the keyboard. Other features include a spacebar for each hand, Windows keys, and an embeded numeric keypad. COMPATIBLITY: For use with IBM and compatible computers with AT/PS2 connection. OPTIONS: An external keypad is available. DIMENSIONS: 15.1 x 6.5 inches with palm supports and 10.3 x 6.5 inches without palm supports.
