Grammar is an academic, language and vocabulary tutorial program designed for children from third grade through ninth grade who have cognitive or learning disabilities. The program features six self-paced sections designed to build an understanding of sentence structure. Grammar begins with the identification of subject and predicate and the introduction of proper and common nouns in the first section; then progresses to verbs, tense and subject-verb agreement in the second section. The third section begins with the direct object, followed by pronouns, possessive nouns, interrogative pronouns and contraction. Sections four and five teach adjectives and articles, then prepositional phrases and the concept of a modifier. The final section introduces helping verbs, linking verbs, appositives, participles, infinitives and gerunds. Teachers can select a starting level and the number of tries allowed. Progress reports can be generated and new questions, answers and activities can be entered. The school versions and above also come with freely reproducible lesson plans and manipulative masters.
