The Swede-O-Universal is an ankle orthosis and support splint designed to provide effective therapeutic and prophylactic support for indications such as sprains, tendinitis, and after cast removal. The orthosis has a patented offset eyelet design which, combined with the appropriate lacing technique, provides stabilization and comfortable support. FEATURES: Sewn-in, U-shaped spiral steel stays to provide resistance to inversion and eversion sprains; full elastic back portion to allow blood flow to the Achilles tendon; contoured bottom seam to lift arch and help prevent shin splints. STYLES: There are five styles available: the Universal Ankle Support with knit (no. 12070) or padded tongue (no. 12071); Multi-Sport Ankle Support made of breathable mesh material with a 1.25-inch taller design to give support higher on the calf, available with knit (no. 12080) or padded tongue (no. 12081); and the Easy-Lock Ankle Support with padded tongue (no. 12091), plastic stabilizer inserts to allow rigid resistance to inversion and eversion sprains, and velcro-like closure straps to facilitate application and removal. Optional plastic stabilizer inserts for additional stability are available for the Universal and Multi-Sport models. SIZES: X-Small, Small, Medium, Large, and X-Large for mens's shoe sizes 3 to 14, and women's shoe sizes 4 to 13. Each orthosis will fit either the right or left foot.
