Matti Mole's Summer Holiday is a language tutorial program designed for use by children with learning and reading disabilities. Available in a home user version or a single-user school version, this animated storybook incorporates language activities and games throughout its eleven chapters and Matti Mole nods and provides encouragement throughout. Sixteen activities help students learn capital letters, periods, compound words, alphabetical order, tenses, questions, parts of speech, and rhyming words. Special features include record-keeping charts to track progress, an activity menu to connect users to the language activities, and teacher controls that enable teachers to lock on activities and select the level of difficulty. This program offers full speech support. COMPATIBILITY: The CD-ROM includes versions for use on IBM and compatible or Macintosh computers with or without a network. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: The IBM and compatible version required a 33 megaHertz (MHz) or faster processor, Windows 3.1 or better, 8 megabytes (MB) RAM, a 2X CD-ROM drive, sound card, and SVGA graphics. The Macintosh version requires an LCII processor, 8 MB RAM, 2X CD-ROM drive, and a 640 x 480 256-color monitor.
