The Rolyan Progressive Palm Protector Splints are hand orthoses designed to provide correct and comfortable hand positioning for persons with neurological disabilities or arthritis. Featuring a removable palm piece, the splint base is designed to accommodate all hand sizes and can be trimmed if necessary to fit a smaller hand. This soft splint also has an adjustable strapping system that allows the user to either strap the thumb only, the fingers only, or both the fingers and thumb. The splint is also available with a wrist support, featuring removable Ezeform (see also separate entry) stay that molds for desired wrist extension and D-ring attachments for a secure fit. These splints are available for both the right and left hand. OPTIONS: Foam palm pieces available in 90- degree metacarpal phalangeal (MCP) flexion (for tight hands with moderate to severe spasticity or contractures), 60-degree flexion (for hands with mild to moderate spasticity or contractures), and 30-degree flexion (for hands with mild spasticity or contractures, or non-spastic hands to provide a functional position in a soft splint). DIMENSIONS: The palm piece for 90 degrees of MCP flexion is available in 1 inch thick foam; 60 degrees of MCP flexion comes in 2 inch thick foam; 30 degrees of MCP flexion comes in 3 inch thick foam.
