Victor Reader Classic is a digital talking book player designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. The Victor Reader Classic reads talking books recorded in digital format, which allows fast and easy navigation through the structure of a book. Unlike talking books on cassette, Victor Reader allows the reader to jump straight to a specific section or passage, skip from page to page, or consult the table of contents without rewinding and fast-forwarding to find a specific passage. Other advantages of digital talking books include the ability to place bookmarks, and the fact that one CD can contain a whole book. Victor Reader Classic also features controls that are easy to locate and operate; highly intelligible variable playing speed sound; easy CD insertion and removal; the ability to play music CD's; digital sound quality from a built-in speaker; and a built-in carrying handle. POWER: Uses AC adapter (included) or internal rechargeable battery. DIMENSIONS: (HxLxW): 2.75 x 9 x 9 inches. WEIGHT: 2.64 pounds.
