Town hall events scheduled for Cambria County veterans

Tribune-Democrat - 12/23/2017

Dec. 23--The Cambria County Veteran Affairs Office has scheduled seven upcoming town hall events throughout the county to reach out to veterans and inform them of the benefits available through the Veterans Administration.

"Educating our community about how the VA works and what may, or may not, be available is a huge part of what we're trying to accomplish," said Josh Hauser, the county's director of Veteran Affairs. "Doing this type of outreach helps us spread the word across the county."

Tom Chernisky, president county commissioner, said the goal is to maximize the availability of the Veteran Affairs office and to "bring that information right into our various communities to make it as easy as possible for people to have access to it."
