New manager tapped for Great Falls office of Weichert

Barry Taylor, a decorated military veteran who most recently served as assistant manager of the Weichert, Realtors' office in Loudoun, has been named manager of the firm's Great Falls office.

"We are fortunate to have someone of Barry's intelligence, market knowledge and compassion leading the sales team," said Mark Ackermann, president of Weichert'sCapital Region. He said agents would benefit "from Barry's drive to succeed and his ability to motivate."

Taylor spent 32 years in the British Army before retiring in 2004, then came to the U.S. to assist a U.K.-based company establishing a presence in Reston. In 2011, he earned his real-estate license and joined Weichert as a sales associate.

"I am happy to join the team in the Great Falls office," Taylor said. "My goals are to continue developing my professional skills as a real-estate droker, and increase Weicher's market share in this region. I also hope to inspire and educate the next generation of top producers among our sales team."

Taylor chairs the fiannce committee of the Dulles Area Association of Realtors. He also is a member of the International Association of Bomb Technicians & Investigators.

Taylor and his wife, Sue, are residents of Ashburn. They have two children and two grandchildren, and are active in philanthropic efforts.
