Six Level Communicator (Model 2392)

The Six level Communicator is a direct selection communicator designed for use by children and adults with communication disabilities. This unit features six levels of recording capacity, with eight, five-second messages per level for a total of 48 messages. Each level may be delegated to a particular theme (food, clothing, etc.) or a level can be dedicated to combining frequently used words to create phrases. To identify the messages, picture cards (not included) are placed behind the overlay on the appropriate square. To activate the desired message, the user presses the corresponding picture. To selct a different set of messages, the user sets the selector switch on the back of the unit and slides in the appropriate picture cards. Messages can be stored indefinitely or modified as needed to meet user requirements. Messages can also be accessed using eight switches (not included) plugged into the jacks in the back of the unit.
