The Transitional Lighting Clock is an alarm clock designed to brighten and dim your lamp as you wake or fall asleep for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. It is a standard AM/FM digital clock with a wall module that operates your lamp to provide "sunrises" and "sunsets". Simply set the alarm time and choose a sunrise duration of ten, twenty or thirty minutes. The lamp will begin to brighten for that duration and will reach full brightness at the time the audible alarm goes off. For the dimming cycle in the evening simply press the snooze button. This item is ideal not only for people who are deaf or hard of hearing; but also people affected by depression and lethargy with the shorter days of winter and people who work different shifts. The sunset function is useful for children who are afraid of the dark. POWER: Plugs into standard household outlet (120V AC). Has a nine volt battery back up. WARRANTY: 90 day limited.
