Map Me – Lite is an academic tutorial program designed for use by parents or teachers working with children with developmental disabilities or autism. This application (or app) allows a parent or teacher to use their Apple iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad or an Android device to teach a child to identify the names, shapes, and locations of all 50 U.S. states and their capitals. The app shows individual U.S. states, highlighted on a map, one at a time on the screen, with their abbreviations and capitals, in the training section. In the "Play" section, four maps of the U.S. with different states highlighted are displayed together on the screen. The child is asked to select the state stated in the text and audio prompt. Each correct response is rewarded with a cheerful animation. Available languages include English, Chinese, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish. COMPATIBILITY: For use with an Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, or Android device. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Apple iOS 4.0 or later; Android 2.2 or later.
