The ProxTalker App is a communication board creation program designed for use with individuals with communication, cognitive, learning, developmental or speech disabilities, or autism. This application, or app, enables an Apple iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to create single page communication boards that can be printed or displayed on a mobile device and used as an alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) system for people who cannot speak or have difficulty communicating. The user takes pictures with his or her Apple device or pulls them from the device's photo albums, drops the photos onto labels, adds text, and arranges the labels onto pages. Labels are available in small, large or size. Available page sizes are 8.5 x 11 inch or A4 sheets, and pages can be displayed in portrait or landscape mode. Pages can printed on regular pager or adhesive label sheets (using an AirPrint-enabled printer) or emailed in PDF format. The user can also make their labels talk by applying them to ProxTalker Sound Tags and using them with a ProxTalker communication device. COMPATIBILITY: For use with an Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Apple iOS 5.1 or later.
