The Durabak Detectable Warning Mat is a detectable warning surface designed for use as a tactile warning system for pedestrians who are blind or have low vision. This suface is designed to be applied to an existing surface to make it compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). It is a permanent single-piece mat with truncated domes, molded in resilient rubber. The mats come pre-coated with 3 coats of Durabak, a slip-resistant, flexible polyurethane safety coating. The bottom of the mat contains an adhesive locking system. The mat can conform to any shape by cutting it with scissors. The truncated domes are positioned to ADA specifications on the mat and are encapsulated by the Durabak coating. The Durabak coating is durable, flexible, water resistant, anti-corrosive, chemical resistant and slip resistant, even when wet. The unit is applied directly to clean dry surfaces. It fits best on flat surfaces but can also be applied to surfaces with slight irregularities. This surface can be cleaned with household detergents or degreasers. glue is included. DIMENSIONS (LxW): 2 x 2 feet and 0.125 inch thick. COLOR: Available in 15 colors.
