The Fortissimo is an amplified, large button, cordless telephone with speakerphone, voice output caller identification and answering machine designed for use by individuals with visual, hearing, neurological or mobility disabilities. The user can initiate a call on the Fortissimo by dialing a number on the voice output keypad or selecting a number from the phone book. The Fortissimo will amplify incoming sound up to 85 decibels (dB), and it offers Bluetooth connectivity for pairing with wireless devices such as headsets or neck loops. This DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) 6.0 telephone is specially designed to be compatible with a variety of alternative controls, including a sip and puff switch, a pillow switch, a Clarity remote control or a wireless DECT large one-button pendant (all sold separately). The Fortissimo can be programmed to perform a variety of functions when a switch is activated, and the remote control can also initiate a call from the phone book, answer a call, adjust the speaker volume, and listen to answering machine messages. It has a large color touch screen with easy-to-read font, illuminated talking keypad with talking caller ID, adjustable tone control, and an extra loud flashing ringer. The answering machine has up to 14 minutes of recording time. ClarityLogic enables customer representatives to remotely access and optimize the instrument for the end user. The phone is compatible with existing Clarity remote switches (AS100 and PS500), bed shakers, and up to four additional handsets (sold separately) can be used with the system.
