The H-69 Select-5 is a control input interface designed to enable individuals with severe physical, fine motor control, neurological or upper extremity disabilities or spinal cord injury to control a TV, Apple iPod, voice recorder, DVD player, MP3 player or a switch-adapted toy or appliance. This stand-alone device features 5 large round buttons: Power/play/pause; Advance forward or Channel up; Go backward or Channel down; Volume up; and Volume down. The user connects a device or remote control to the Select-5 via the interface's 9-pin port and then operates that device by direct selecting the Select-5's buttons to control the devices ability to play media. A version of the Select-5 is also available with five rear switch inputs so that each button is controlled by a single switch connected to the interface.
