Suit Astrid is an adaptive, skirt suit specifically designed for women in wheelchairs. The suit’s short jacket has a star-shaped neck opening, and its sleeves feature short invisible zippers at the wrists. The open-end zipper is upside down and on the back of the jacket, so the wearer can zip the jacket from the neck downwards without having to reach backwards to put it on.

The suit’s matching skirt falls over the knee and is made up of curved panels fitting the seated body. The front of the skirt has decorative trim that hides the open-end zipper, allowing the skirt to fold open completely. The front sits low and does not gather in the groin area, and the back of the skirt is cut high and elasticated for adjustability. Plus, there is extra space in the waist area to accommodate the waist in the sitting position. This skirt is not suitable for wearing while standing or walking, unless the zipper is partially opened. Both the skirt and jacket are made from coarse red and black tweed (100% polyester), and lined with black cotton lining (100% cotton).

Cleaning: Dry cleaning recommended.

SIZES: 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 (European Sizes: 34, 36, 38, 40, and 42).
