The Turn-Alarm is a turn signal alert device designed for use by individuals with hearing disabilities. Models 252 and 262 are designed to replace the existing turn signal flashers and are recommended for use in motor homes, vehicles towing trailers and fifth wheels, and vehicles with replacable turn signal flashers. With the device installed, an audible beep is heard as long as the turn signal is on. The unit beeps in the same intervals that the flashers flash. Model 262 has a larger heavy-duty flasher and is recommended for motor coaches and vehicles which have combination turn signal and hazard flashers. Models U-1 and U-2 are universal models which do not require replacing the existing flashersand can be used in most vehicles. With these models, the Turn-Alarm is activated manually using a switch attached to the turn signal lever using the included Ty-wraps. Both models include a control box with an on/off switch that mounts to the dashboard or control panel using the included Velcro. A power cord connects the control box with the switch on the turn signal lever. Model U-1 provides both an audible beep alert and a flashing LED (light emitting diode), and mode lU-2 provides the flashing LED only. POWER: Models 252 and 262 use the car battery. Model U-1 requires a 9-volt battery and model U-2 requires two double-A batteries. DIMENSIONS (WxLxH): Model U-1 is 2.4 x 3.8 x 1 inch and model U-2 is 2.6 x 2.8 x 0.75 inch.
