CUSTOM ADAPTATION PURPOSE: To enable an individual with cerebral palsy to load and unload a CD-ROM disc from a computer. A suction cup was fixed to one end of a section of plastic tubing. Using the tube as a handle, the user presses the suction cup onto the CD while it is still in its case. Lifts the disk from the case, and guides it into the CD-ROM drive of the computer. Once the disk is in the drive, the user gently presses down on the CD while pulling up on the tube handle to remove the tool. Reversing the process enables the user to return the disk to its case.
