Telestik (Model Ts3040)

The TeleStik, model TS3040, is a reacher designed for use by individuals with upper extremity or mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury. This reacher has a telescoping stainless steel arm equipped with a strong magnet for picking up metal items weighing up to one pound and a hook for pulling or dragging items. The hook can also be used for opening cupboards, pushing elevator buttons, retrieving clothing etc. In addition, the hook is helpful for those who have any difficulty extending the telescoping arm. Simply attach the hook to something fixed, such as a cupboard door handle and wheel or walk backwards until the telescoping arm is extended fully or to the length required. A second telescoping arm is equipped with a washable adhesive disk that lifts items weighing up to one pound. To use the disk, place the adhesive flat on the object that is to be picked up. Press gently and bring the object to the user. For hheavier objects, after pressing gently, leave adhesive on the object for two seconds and then bring the object to the user. The adhesive is washable and rejuvenating. After many uses, the adhesive will become less sticky. When this occurs, simply remove the adhesive disk(attached with Velcro) and wash the adhesive with mild soap and warm water. The adhesive dries in seconds and become sticky again. The reacher has a soft, slip-resistant PVC grip. OPTIONS: Replacement disks and a strap for individuals with limited had strength are available. DIMENSIONS: Both arms telescope from 8 to 34 inches and the grip is 1.5 inches in diameter. WEIGHT: 5.4 ounces.
