The Large LCD Atomic Alarm Clock is a low vision alarm clock designed for use by individuals with low vision. This radio-controlled clock receives the time signal transmitted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), which is regulated by three atomic clocks, to set itself and automatically adjust for leap year and daylight savings time. The large liquid crystal display (LCD) has large bold numbers against a clear background. Counting seconds are displayed in smaller numbers next to the minutes. The month, date, and day of week are listed underneath, along with the indoor temperature. Other features include an alarm with snooze function, a full-length bar on the base to activate the display backlight, 12- or 24-hour time display, and manual set capability. POWER: Uses three triple-A batteries (included) with a battery life of one year. DIMENSIONS: The clock is 3.5 x 3 1/8 x 3 inches. Time display numerals are 1 inch tall. COLOR: Silver and black case, black display numbers, and letters, and blue backlight.
