The Vita is a 4-wheeled electric scooter designed for outdoor use by individuals with lower extremity and mobility disabilities. FRAME (LxWxH): 55.5 x 28 x 55 inches. The Vita has full independent suspension, an underbody ground clearance of 3.5 inches, and a turning radius of 50.5 inches. Available color is sunset orange with sparkles or silver. An optional black wire basket that attaches behind the seat is available, and a black, heavy-duty travel case can be added in place of the basket.. CONTROLS: The waterproof control panel is located at the top of the adjustable tiller between semicircular handlebars that extend from the right and left sides of the panel. A control lever extending on either side of the tiller selects between forward, neutral and reverse. The control panel also includes a horn; turn signal; hazard lights button; speed selector switch (to select a lower range of speeds); battery charge indicator; and headlight switch. RWD: Rear-wheel drive with a 700-watt, .94 horsepower brush motor. SEAT (WxDxH): 20 x 22 x 31 inches contoured orthopedic captain-style seat with accessory port. Other seat features include high backrest with infinite adjustable tilt setting and 360-degree swivel. ARMREST: Flip-up, adjustable, padded armrest. BRAKES: Electromagnetic brakes engage when the control lever is released. There is an optional hand brake system available. WHEELS: Two 13-inch diameter, 4-inch width front wheels and two 13-inch diameter, 5-inch width rear wheels. All four wheels have pneumatic tires with aluminum alloy rims. POWER: Uses two lead acid 80-ampere, 12-volt batteries. The battery pack is located under the seat. A 120-volt, 8-ampere charger is included. SPEEDS: 9 miles per hour maximum (12 miles per hour with an optional upgrade). The range is 25-30 miles, and the maximum recommended incline is 12 degrees. CAPACITY: 300 pounds with 12K transaxle and 400 pounds with 20K transaxle. WEIGHT: 323 pounds with batteries. WARRANTY: Three-year limited warranty on all structural frame components and one-year limited warranty on electronic components.
