Siemens Smart Hearing Aids are designed for people with permanent hearing loss to allow them to hear without the disturbance of background noises that most other hearing aids pick up. They can be controlled using an iPhone or Android device. They use easyTek and Bluetooth. They pick up less background noise than other hearing aids, and overall outperform them. This feature improves hearing in noisy settings like public restaurants and cocktail parties where normal hearing aids present a challenge. When both aids are worn, they utilize a two-way wireless communication to zero in on desired speech with pinpoint accuracy. When paired with Siemens' new easyTek and easyTek App, the wearer can control the direction of the hearing aids' microphones - front, left, right, or behind - to simultaneously enhance speech and suppress background noise. The span of the microphones' focus can also be controlled via the app, allowing wearers to select a wide range of focus or a very narrow beam (of focus).
