Birdie

The Birdie is an electric mobile hoist designed for individuals with limited lower extremity mobility, strength, and coordination associated with generalized weakness, stroke, or traumatic brain injuries. It offers a special folding design for storage and transportation. There is a snap lock mechanism for added security, and can be completed without tools. The mast and boom are also detachable from the base.

The curved boom section keeps the patient away from the mast during lifting, even when at a very low or high height. It also allows for easier lifting from the floor in situations where this is required. For the client, the Birdie offers a comfortable lift and a choice of a 2-point spreader bar (available in widths of 350, 450, or 550 millimeters) or a 4-point spreader bar. Manual leg spread comes with a foot lever as standard. Electric leg spread is also available as an option.

The Birdie features Linak motors and components for proven reliability, whilst a PDA actuator reader is available which gives information on the number of actuator lifts and other useful data when connected to a laptop. There is also a Jumbo Care control box option, which includes a service reminder feature, and a battery status display.
