AbleData does not produce, distribute or sell any of the products listed on this website, but we provide you with information on how to contact manufacturers or distributors of these products. If you are interested in purchasing a product, you can find companies who sell it below.

The STWA-C101 Data Transmitter is part of a closed captioning system for cinema goers who are deaf or hard of hearing. The wireless Data Transmitter, which is connected to a range of cinema servers by Sony and other third-party vendors, transmits captioning data to Sony’s STW-C140X Receiver Box. The Receiver Box then transfers this information to Sony’s STW-C140GI Entertainment Access Glasses with Audio via radio frequency, which displays the captions utilizing holographic technology. In addition to transmitting closed captions, the Data Transmitter also transmits enhanced audio for users who are hard of hearing and audio descriptions for movie goers who are blind or have low vision. Please note: Sony’s STW-C140GI Entertainment Access Glasses with Audio, which comes with Sony’s STW-C140X Receiver Box, is sold separately (please see separate entry).
