Sun Touch Plus 10,000 LUX is a therapeutic light source that individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia can use if they are experiencing sleep disturbances as a result of their condition. Designed to be a part of bright light therapy, Sun Touch Plus can help boost their mood and energy while helping them get a more restful night’s sleep. This unit provides up to 10,000 LUX of white light and emits 17,000 Kelvin UV-free light, mimicking the effects and natural benefits of a clear sunny sky. It also features a 15, 30, 45, and 60-Minute built-in timer. Once Sun Touch Plus is turned on, the user should sit close to the unit with his or her face approximately nine to 24 inches away from the unit, with eyes open but not staring directly at the light. He can engage in other activities (e.g., reading, crafts, hobbies) while staying oriented towards the light.
