DIY Travel Games: Alphabet Learning is an activity designed for fidgety children with fine motor and learning disabilities to do. DIY Travel Games: Alphabet Learning is an educational and fine motor manipulation activity. It is part of a set that also includes Tic Tac Toe, Maze Fun, and Triangle Peg Solitaire. Each DIY activity is made with washi tape. 

Technical Specifications: 

Step 1: Gather materials.

  • zip lock bag
  • alphabet washi tape (or write on plain washi tape with permanent marker)
  • alphabet beads ?(easy to find in hobby or craft stores or the dollar storewhiteboard marker)
  • eraser 

Step 2: Have the child match the beads to the washi tape for alphabet recognition and learning alphabetical order.

Step 3: Put alphabet beads in a small tub of playdough so that the beads can be pushed into the playdough. 

Step 4: Use a whiteboard marker to write the letters on the zip lock bag and have an eraser (or a tissue will work) to rub out the letter. 

Change it up and use lower case letters, numbers, or spell out sight words or spelling words.
