As a mother of a legally blind child, I’ve seen my son struggle to get dressed every single morning. My husband and I would get up at a half hour earlier to assist him with his clothing and footwear while trying to teach him how to get dressed independently.  It was frustrating! I suddenly had a epiphany to start a clothing line for blind and visually impaired people! Why not have a clothing line that they can call their own?

I thought thoroughly on how to make clothes that would guide a blind/visually-impaired child to put their clothes on correctly and with ease. All of my items will assist children to get dressed more efficiently and independently! We have t-shirt, shirts, socks and accessories. Although the line appeals to children, this brand can also work for adults who may have been dressing themselves for years to assist them on putting on button-down shirts, socks and footwear correctly to save time on getting ready and out the door on time.

Braille Code is not just a clothing line; it’s a brand that represents independence, self-confidence and pride. I want the kids to wear the brand and claim it because it was made lovingly for them. My wish is for them to step out and let the world know that they now have a clothing name especially made for them. My goal is to help and give parents like me a way to give our children a sense of pride, independence and acceptance of who they are with Style!

Stay tuned and continue to check in on us because Braille Code will not just be about a clothing line, there will be other ventures as well.
