Walking Cane Handle

AbleData does not produce, distribute or sell any of the products listed on this website, but we provide you with information on how to contact manufacturers or distributors of these products. If you are interested in purchasing a product, you can find companies who sell it below.

The Walking Cane Handle is designed for use by individuals with balance, lower extremity, or walking disabilities. The cane handle allows the user to utilise both hands to get out of a chair; the ridge running along the handle allowed us to use glow-in-the-dark paint to help locate the cane at night time, and the hook comfortably latches onto the wrist for greater mobility. The handle is sized to accommodate a 25 millimeters diameter dowel as a shaft, cut to the appropriate size (there are many sizing guides online that can indicate the correct dimensions) and capped with a 25 millimeters diameter rubber stopper.

What is Thingiverse?

MakerBot's Thingiverse is a thriving design community for discovering, making, and sharing 3D printable things. As the world's largest 3D printing community, we believe that everyone should be encouraged to create and remix 3D things, no matter their technical expertise or previous experience. In the spirit of maintaining an open platform, all designs are encouraged to be licensed under a Creative Commons license, meaning that anyone can use or alter any design.

How Can I Get Involved?

The best way to get involved with Thingiverse is to try your hand at 3D designing. Thingiverse isn't just of designers, engineers, or CAD drawing experts: anyone can learn. But that's not the only way to participate... Gaining street cred can be as simple as posting your "makes" (prints of an existing design), or creating your own mod template for your favorite 3D design in Customizer, our first app that uses the Thingiverse API.
