Aira Access

Aira Access is a smartphone application that connects people who are blind or low vision to a remote trained professional agent who can help them navigate the environment through a video link. The service offers both a free option and a subscription plan. A user gets access to assistance from agents that can help describe the user’s surroundings or help them with daily tasks. By using the camera on your smartphone a live video stream is sent to an Aira agent. Through an AI-powered dashboard, an Aira agent is able to see and hear the user’s environment. Agents also have access to web-based data, including maps, location tracking, search engines, text-based messaging and rideshare integration to provide blind and low-vision users with assistance.
