DO IT YOURSELF ENTRYPURPOSE: To enable individuals who use scooters or wheelchairs to operate a commercial powered sweeper. This accommodation required design and development of a custom hitch system with a pin release linkage to which the battery-powered sweeper could be attached, enabling the scooter user to perform the job of vacuuming the halls at his place of employment It was also necessary to upgrade the scooter/wheelchair batteries to accommodate the increased load. This project used standard shop equipment and readily available materials.
