What to do in Tampa for Memorial Day Weekend

Whether you’re looking to relax, get outside or listen to live music, there’s plenty going on in Tampa for Memorial Day. Make the most of your three-day weekend as summer officially kicks off.

Memorial Day Parade

When: Saturday, May 25, 10 a.m.

Where: downtown Clearwater

This parade starts at the corner of Cleveland Street and South Madison Avenue and runs west. The free procession features veterans’ organizations, military regalia, marching bands, and floats.

Clearwater Honor Festival

When: Saturday, May 25, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Where: Coachman Park, 300 Cleveland St, Clearwater

Following the parade, this free music festival features singer-songwriter and Navy veteran Dave Bray and the Soul Circus Cowboys. There will also be speeches and tributes to fallen soldiers.

Memorial Day Crawfish Boil

When: Saturday, May 25, 3 p.m.

Where: Bayboro Brewing, 2390 Fifth Ave. S., St. Petersburg

Enjoy all-you-can-eat crawfish for $55, while listening to live music and sipping on craft brews. Get your tickets here.

Sundress SZN: Memorial Day Party

When: Saturday, May 25, 5 - 9:30 p.m.

Where: 7th + Grove, 1930 East 7th Avenue, Tampa

Sip on cocktails and dance to music by Jazzy Jeff, DJ MT and Dreesey Baby at the 7th + Grove restaurant and lounge. Tickets are $10 — unless you’re a woman in sundress, in which case there’s free entry until 6 p.m.

Pre-Memorial Day Smokin’ Swine BBQ

When: Sunday, May 26, 5 - 9:30 p.m.

Where: Commandough’s, 5841 Gall Blvd., Zephyrhills

Stop by Commandough’s Pizza for a a barbecue tailgate party with an open jam session, games and raffles. Proceeds benefit Wreaths Across America. 1 p.m.

Wear Blue Run: Memorial Day

When: Monday, May 27, 8 a.m.

Where: Ballast Point Park, 5300 Interbay Blvd., Tampa

Run a 5k to honor fallen service members at Ballast Point Park. Runners will meet at Pavilion 803 for a Circle of Remembrance before the 5k begins.

Memorial Day at Astro Skate

When: Monday, May 27, 1 - 4 p.m.

Where: Astro Skate, 750 W Robertson St, Brandon

Enjoy all-you-can-eat hot dogs and hamburgers at Astro Skate from 1-2 p.m with a $7 skate rental. The party continues until 4 p.m.
